The stadium has a press box with two levels, locker rooms to accommodate the home and visiting teams and a video message board. An artificial playing surface was installed during the construction of Tiger Stadium.

When Evangel began its gridiron program in 1977, JFK was its home field through the 1988 season. From 1988 through 2000, the Crusaders used Plaster Stadium at Missouri State University as their home field but continued to use JFK when scheduling conflicts arose at MSU. Evangel came full circle in 2001 when the Crusaders returned to JFK for all of their home contests before moving to Ozark in 2016.
