No. 3 Benedictine Too Much For Evangel Men's Hoops

ATCHISON, Kan. — The Evangel men's basketball team was unable to keep pace with the top team in the Heart and 3rd-ranked team in NAIA, Benedictine College falling 75-59 on Wednesday night.

Evangel played with the Ravens statistically using a 9-0 run to pull within 37-24 at halftime. However, after shooting 46 percent in the first half compared to the Crusaders' 33 percent, Benedictine finished a hot-shooting second half with a 53 percent clip.

Chris Stocks scored a game-high 21 points off the bench for Evangel in the loss while Cade Coffman added eight points and eight rebounds. 

The Crusaders struggled beyond three-point line finishing 4 of 18 and making just one three-pointer in the second half.

Benedictine was led by Adam Kutney who finished with 20 points for the Ravens.
