Evangel Women’s Basketball Sees Season Come to an End Against Clarke in Heart Quarterfinals

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel women's basketball sees their season come to end after losing to (RV) Clarke in the Heart Tournament Quarterfinals, 71-57.

It was a close defensive battle through the first three quarters, which saw Clarke leading by five at the end of the third quarter. That was as close as Evangel would be able to keep the game, as Clarke would stretch their lead to as many as fourteen before the end of the game.

Lexie Vaught led the Crusaders with 17 points, followed by Emma Lander and Bri Vogts with 8 each.

Lander led the Crusaders on the boards with 9 rebounds, followed by Vaught with 7.

The Crusaders finish first-year head coach Megan Leuzinger's first season with a 19-11 record.
