    Valor Baseball's Austin Dill has been voted First Team Academic All-District by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Dill was named to the first team in District Three thanks to his accomplishments in the classroom and on the field.
  • Duo of Valor Baseball Standouts Named to All-Conference Team

    A duo of Evangel Valor baseball standouts have received spots on Heart of America Athletic Conference All-Conference teams. Athanie Leeviraphan was named to the second team as well as Austin Dill. Dill also received the Gold Glove award for pitchers.
  • Dill Sets Season Strikeout Record as Valor Falls to MNU

    On the final day of baseball in Springfield, Evangel took on the Pioneers of MidAmerica Nazarene, looking to split the final series of the season. In game one, Austin Dill pitched lights out, setting the single season strikeout record in Evangel history and allowing just one run to score on a passed ball. The offense could not help him out as Evangel ultimately fell, 1-0. Game two was a completely different ball game as runs came easily and both offenses played well. By the time the dust had settled on the game, the Pioneers had come away with the victory, 19-11.
  • Long Ball Plays a Factor as MNU Sweeps EU on Senior Day

    The Valor returned home for their final weekend doubleheader of the season when they took on the Pioneers of MidAmerica Nazarene. In game one, MidAmerica used huge second and third innings to grab a large lead that Evangel could not overcome, 19-2. The second game of the afternoon played similarly to the first when MNU used a big third and sixth inning to take a lead that maintained to the finish, 17-7.

  • Valor Baseball Uses Strong Pitching and Timely Offense to Split with Baker

    The Valor took on the Wildcats of Baker on Saturday afternoon, looking to rebound from their two losses the day before. In game one, a complete game gem from Austin Dill pushed the Valor to victory, 4-0. The second game proved to be another pitcher’s duel as Noah Suiter shut down the Baker offense to lead EU to a 3-0 victory.
  • Valor Baseball Drops Two Against Surging Baker Offense

    Evangel took on the Baker Wildcats on Friday in their final road weekend doubleheader of the season. The Valor struggled on offense in game one, ultimately falling to the Wildcats, 12-2. In game two, Evangel showed promise in the final two innings of the game, but the damage had been done, resulting in a 15-6 loss for EU.
  • Evangel Baseball Drops Two after Tough Saturday in Marshall

    On Saturday, Evangel Baseball wrapped up their weekend doubleheader with the Vikings of Missouri Valley, looking to claim the series with two wins. In game one, the Valor led for the majority of the game, but a late surge by the Vikings gave Missouri Valley an 8-4 win. In the final game, Missouri Valley quickly took a lead as the Valor offense grew stagnant resulting in an EU loss, 7-1.
  • Valor Baseball Rebounds After Tough Game One to Split With Missouri Valley
    April 15, 2022
    Valor Baseball hit the road to kick off their penultimate weekend road doubleheader at Missouri Valley on Friday. In game one, a victor was decided in nearly four hours as Missouri Valley claimed the win in the 13th inning. Game two featured enough Valor offense to grab a victory, 8-5, thanks to clutch offense in the late innings of the game.
  • Valor Baseball Splits With Park on Sunday
    April 10, 2022
    Valor Baseball capped off their penultimate weekend doubleheader against Park on Sunday on a perfect day for baseball. In game one, Austin Dill shut down Park’s offense that had been dominant all weekend to push EU to the 7-2 victory. In game two, Park used late game offense to run away with the game and series, 14-7.
  • Valor Baseball Swept by Park on Saturday
    April 09, 2022
    Valor Baseball returned home to take on the Park Pirates, looking to snap their five game losing streak. In game one, Park and Evangel both had used a big inning to force extras, where Park claimed the victory in the tenth, 8-6. The second game of the afternoon consisted of much less Evangel offense as Park held the Valor at bay, taking the win, 9-3.
  • Peru State Surges Past Valor With Weekend Sweep
    April 02, 2022
    Valor Baseball continued their weekend doubleheader with Peru State on Saturday, looking to rebound from their previous day of losses. In game one, EU struggled to muster any offense and fell, 2-0. Evangel showed life on offense in game two, but could not slow down Peru State, falling 11-4, and giving the Bobcats the weekend sweep.

    After a series victory last weekend against Benedictine, Evangel hit the road to take on Heart North foe Peru State on Friday. In game one, Evangel fell short of taking down the Bobcats, 4-2. Game two was a defensive matchup between the teams, with EU generating very little on offense, falling 4-0.
  • Valor Clinches Series over Benedictine After Split on Sunday
    March 27, 2022
    Fresh off a two-game sweep of Benedictine, Evangel came into Sunday’s doubleheader matchup with the Ravens ready to play. Thanks to dominant starting pitching in game one, Evangel came away with the victory, 3-2. In game two, the Ravens caught fire offensively, preventing an Evangel sweep, 10-5.
  • Suiter's Big Day Helps Guide Evangel to Day One Sweep of Benedictine
    March 26, 2022
    Evangel returned home to take on the Ravens of Benedictine on Saturday. In game one, EU used an impressive third inning of offense to grab a lead they never relinquished, 10-4. In the second game of the day, the Valor again used a big inning, this time in the fifth, to take home the day one sweep, 8-3.
  • Valor Fights Hard, Falls to Central Methodist on Monday

    Evangel finished up their four game series with Central Methodist on Monday (Mar. 21). CMU continued their offensive streak in both games, as Evangel was swept, 15-1 and 5-1, on Monday.

    Evangel hit the road to take on Heart South conference foe Central Methodist on Sunday to begin a four game series. The nationally ranked Eagles had no shortage of offense on Sunday as they bested the Valor, 24-2 and 7-5, respectively.

    The Valor continued their weekend doubleheader against Columbia on Saturday, hoping to turn the tide in their favor. Evangel committed several errors in game one, allowing Columbia to grab the victory. In game two, Columbia used a big fifth inning to clinch the weekend sweep of Evangel, 8-4.
  • Valor Swept by Columbia on Day One of Weekend Doubleheader

    The Valor hosted their first weekend doubleheader of the year on Friday against the visiting Cougars of Columbia College. Evangel fell in game one, 5-1, and in game two, 10-8, after the Cougars overcame an Evangel lead in the sixth.
