CANTON, Mo. - The Evangel men's basketball sees an 18-point second-half lead slip through their fingers as they fall to Culver-Stockton 88-84 on Saturday afternoon.

The Crusaders came out firing on all cylinders scoring 50 points in the first half. Clark Brewington went 5-7 from beyond the arc to propel the Crusaders offensively. But after the halftime break, they came out flat and didn't score a FG for over five minutes in the second half, which allowed Culver-Stockton to climb back into the game. The Wildcats took the lead off a Mason Vires free throw with 5:29 left in the game. They eventually would build the lead up to ten, but the Crusaders would continue to fight. They got it down to a two-point game twice with under a minute left in the game but couldn't find the basket that would tie the game.

Four Crusaders ended in double figures, with Clark Brewington leading the way with 22 points. He finished 6-9 from beyond the arc. Edriel Martinborough, Josh Pritchett, and Pavel Antonov finished with 20 pts, 11 pts, and 10 pts respectively.

Brewington also led the Crusaders on the boards with 8.

Mason Vires from Culver-Stockton led all scores with 36 points.
