KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Evangel University sophomore Cade Coffman was honored Friday earning NAIA All-American honors as announced by the organization.
Coffman who was named to the All-Heart Conference First Team becomes the first Crusaders since Korey Tillery in 2015 to earn All-American honors as he was named Honorable Mention All-American. He led Evangel in scoring and rebounding at 16.8 points per game and 6.0 rebounds per game.
The Mountain Grove, Missouri native also ranked in the top 30 nationally in free throw shooting at 82 percent. Coffman helped Evangel return to the postseason as he averaged 18 points per game during conference play down the stretch. He finished with 517 points during the season ranking 30th most points in a season for the Crusaders and ends his sophomore season with 803 total points.
