Evangel Men's Reserve Basketball Defeats Central Methodist Reserve

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - On Tuesday night, the Evangel men's reserve team defeated the Central Methodist reserve team 79-76.

The Crusaders came out of the gate hot and built up a thirteen point lead in the first seven minutes of the game. Then the Eagles went on a run of their own and built their own lead of eight. The Crusaders would come back to tie the game at halftime.

In the second half, the game stayed close. The Crusaders kept the lead for the majority of the half and never lead by more than nine. The Eagles were able to keep the game to a one or two-possession game down to the end and were down three with nine seconds left. They inbounded the ball and made an ill-advised pass that was then picked off by Tim Smith to run out the game.
