SUNRISE BEACH, Mo. – Paced by Jake Brown's round of 74, the Evangel men's golf team placed third at the Culver-Stockton Invitational Sunday at The Club at Porto Cima.
Brown (+2) finished one stroke off the pace of individual champion Gage Brauns of Columbia College, while Logan Smith fired a nine-over-par 81 to tie for sixth on the individual leaderboard.
Reagan Streck (+15) and Jathan White (+15) carded rounds of 87 to tie for 13th, and Kelby Day (+17) placed 16th.
As a team, the Crusaders totaled 329 for the day, finishing five shots behind host Culver-Stockton in second place and 13 strokes off the pace of team champ Columbia College.
