SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – After a fifth place finish at the KCAC Match Play last week, Valor men's golf returned to Springfield to host the Evangel Fall Invitational at Bill and Payne Stewart Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 10/11). A strong performance on day one helped push the Valor to an overall first place finish.
Reagan Streck led the charge for Evangel, finishing with a overall score of -9 (131), breaking the Evangel school record for lowest day one score with a 62 and placing first. Taton Hopkins also had a good pair of days at the course, finishing tied for fourth with a score of 146.
Thomas Bolin had an exceptional day two at the invite, acing hole seven and finishing with a three stroke improvement from his first day, placing tied for sixth. Brock Wunstell and Dylan Sitze rounded out scoring for Evangel's "A" team, finishing 8th and tied for 9th, respectively.
Evangel's "B" team also competed well on Monday and Tuesday, placing third overall. Kelby Day and Luke Morris led the charge for the team, tying each other for ninth overall.
