SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel men's tennis team took on the number two ranked team in the conference, William Woods, in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament on Friday morning, just 11 hours after winning a tough play-in match against John Brown. Evangel fought hard, but was swept in doubles and singles play, 4-0, ending their season with a 7-5 overall record.
In doubles play, William Woods won the point after sweeping Evangel in all three doubles matches.
The Owls claimed the first three points in singles play, ending the match early at a 4-0 final score.
