SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Evangel softball head coach Jay Halbrook announced the hiring of Jordan Logan to his staff on Thursday.
Logan joins the Crusaders as Assistant Coach and her primary duties will be as the pitching coach and helping oversee all phases of the game.
"I am very excited to be joining the Evangel Crusader family," Logan said. "This job is a terrific opportunity.
I look forward to contributing my knowledge and experience to this program but more importantly impacting the student-athletes in a positive way that will benefit them far after their playing days. Lastly, I'd like to thank Coach Jay Halbrook and the Evangel athletic administration for believing in me. Go, Crusaders!"
After graduating from Columbia College, Logan spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Hickman High School in Columbia, Missouri. She was a first-team all-conference pitcher for the Cougars in 2012 and named Team MVP.
Later, she also served as a graduate assistant for two seasons helping the Cougars to back-to-back NAIA World Series appearances. She saw a staff that finished in the top six in the nation in ERA and a pitcher finish in the top 10 in earned runs allowed twice. Columbia finished national runner-up in 2018 falling to national champion Oklahoma Science & Arts.

She is a dynamic young Coach and she brings a wealth of knowledge and energy to the game Her familiarity in our region and knowledge of the game will help elevate Crusader softball. Jordan has a passion to make a positive impact on young women and help them become successful leaders in life."
Logan graduated from Columbia College with a bachelor's of science in 2013 after earning an associate of arts from Jefferson College in Hillsboro, Mo.
