SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A late rally by the Evangel women's basketball team saw the Crusaders comeback for an 87-81 road win Saturday at Peru State.

The Crusaders trailed 36-32 at halftime before a 27-point effort in the third quarter helped Evangel regain the lead.

After a cold start shooting just 29 percent from the field, the Crusaders shot 58 percent in the second half. Evangel also forced 25 turnovers by Peru State including scoring 35 points off turnovers in the win.

Kylee Moore continued her streak of 20-point games finishing with 26 points to the pace the Crusaders. Moore finished 10 of 19 from the field while Bayley Harman added 15 points off the bench.

Peru State was led by Maddy McPhillips with 17 points and Giovanna Silva who tallied 14 points and 14 boards.

Evangel continues road action Wednesday at Benedictine. Tipoff from Atchison, Kansas is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
