The Crusaders went back and forth with the Wildcats through the first half as a three-pointer at the buzzer gave Culver-Stockton a 45-41 lead into intermission.

"It was a great team effort today," said head coach Megan Leuzinger. "I am super proud of how our girls dug in defensively in the second half."

"Lexie's performance was stellar," Leuzinger added. "I thought we competed the full game but especially in the second half. We shared the ball extremely well with 27 assists and took care of the ball."

Bayley Harman led Evangel with nine assists, while Vaught added seven assists to go with her triple-double. Harman also added 13 points while Emma Lander finished with 12.

Defensively, the Crusaders forced 19 turnovers and held the Wildcats to 27 percent from the field in the second half. Evangel shot 46 percent from the field in the game.
