SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel women's basketball heads to Des Moines to take on (RV) Grand View on Saturday.
SERIES HISTORY
Grand View leads the series 7-3 and won the earlier matchup this season 64-49 on Jan. 4, 2020.
OPENING STORYLINES

Offensively, Evangel has been led by Lexie Vaught (Crane, Mo.) at 12.4 points per game, sophomore, Brianna Vogts at 10.3 ppg, and freshman Alexis Cauthon at 11.2 ppg.

A tough non-conference schedule has seen the Crusaders play two of the nation's best to a four-point game and a threepoint game in overtime. The overtime loss to Mid-America Christian stood out, even more, when the Lady Evangels knocked off NCAA-Division I North Texas, 61-59.

The Crusaders have shared the ball at a high rate ranking ninth in assist to turnover ratio (+1.200), ninth in assists per game (17.07), and eighth in total assists (444).

The Crusaders rank ninth nationally in three-pointers made per game with an average of 8.61 threes, and tenth in total 3-Pt FG Made (224). Alexis Cauthon ranks fourteenth nationally in Total 3-PT Made (71) and fifteenth in 3-PT FG Pct (0.415) and 3-Pt Fg Made/Game (2.73).

Freshman Sadie Chisum (Hartville, Mo.) has been solid at the point for Evangel with 96 assists.

Senior Lexie Vaught ranks ninth nationally in steals per game (3.53) and total steals (92). She now has 204 for her career.

(RV) Grand View ranks fifth in Total Blocks (126), sixth in Blocks/Game (4.667), seventh in Defensive Rebounds/Game (30.519) and ninth in Total Assists (442). Mia Rosener ranks second in Total Blocks (86) and third in Blocks/Game (3.185).
LOOKING AHEAD
Evangel continues their road trip on Wednesday with a trip to Marshall, Mo. to take on Missouri Valley. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m.
