SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Evangel women's basketball team and head coach Megan Leuzinger announced the addition of Kourtney Shipley for the 2020-21 season.
Shipley will join the Crusaders after two seasons at Crowder College. After playing in all 32 games as a freshman, she missed her sophomore season due to an injury and will have three seasons of eligibility at Evangel.
A 41 percent three-point shooter during her time at Crowder, Shipley averaged 6.8 points per game.
A three-time All-State selection at Bradleyville High School in Bradleyville, Missouri from 2016-2018. She was also named the Mark Twain Conference MVP in 2018 leading the Lady Eagles to a Class 1 Runner-up finish. Also a standout in the classroom, she was an Academic All-American in 2019 at Crowder earning a spot on the Dean's List after earning Academic All-State honors twice as well.
She will join her sister, Gracie Shipley, who is a current freshman for the Crusaders.
