  • Evangel Athletics Announces 2022 Hall of Fame Class

    SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Evangel University Department of Athletics announced its 2022 Hall of Fame Class on Thursday that includes the first women’s basketball team to reach the final four in 1996, women’s basketball All-American Kim Penner, men’s basketball all-time rebounding leader Jeff Zilinski, and a pair of football individuals with All-American Brandon Schmidly and the winningest coach in Evangel history, Keith Barefield.

    The Evangel Valor hit the road to compete in the Heart Conference Quarterfinals against the number one seeded Clarke Pride. Clarke came out hot to start the game and never slowed on offense, running away with the game, 93-61, to end the Valor season.
