SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Crusaders dominated the Mustangs in a 10-0 shutout victory on Saturday night.

Bianca Biffert got the goal party started in the 8th minute and the Crusaders never looked back. Ashley Ard, Sedona Townsend, Brook Pigneri, Amber Ellis, Maya Davidson, and Emma McCall all had first-half goals for the Crusaders.

Biffert, Davidson, and Alyson Reinold all scored in the second half to complete the victory. McKinley Yoder, Ellis (2), Riley Jarvis, and McCall had assists on the day. In total, the Crusaders had 42 shots and 28 on goal.

Caitlyn Cox and Abbey Schmidt both spent time between the sticks and Schmidt had one save on the day.

Head coach Bruce Deaton had this say after the final whistle: "Proud of the ladies this evening. While we had played some very good soccer in our first three matches, and created some quality chances, we just hadn't found the back of the net. We definitely were able to do that this evening. Our ball movement at times was very good and created a number of opportunities to score. Excited for the ladies as we were able to garner our first win of the season. Look forward to going back at it again on Monday."

Evangel will take on the Stephens College Stars at 6 p.m. at Coryell Field on Monday, Sept. 9.
