SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel women's soccer team turned in a second dominant performance in four days with a 10-0 shutout over Stephens (Mo.) College on Monday night.

The Crusaders scored early and often as Ashley Ard scored the first of two goals just 55 seconds into the match. Bianca Biffert touched the ball for her only assist as Evangel took a 1-0 lead.

Evangel junior Alyson Reinold scored her second goal of the season in the 19th minute on a pass from Sedona Townsend. Reinold would figure into the point total with a pair of assists including the second goal by Ard early in the 22nd minute.

Almost exactly two minutes later McKinley Yoder found the back of the net to give Evangel a 4-0 lead before halftime.

The second half would belong to Bianca Biffert who's hat trick saw her net three goals in less than eight minutes. Biffert recorded the third hat trick in Evangel history and second of her career to tie an individual single-match record. The sophomore's seven points in the match also set a record that she had held with Alyson Reinold and Amber Ellis.

An assist from Emma McCall in the 55th minute gave Biffert her third goal of the season while the sophomore scored again in the 57th as a final goal in the 62 pushed the Crusader lead to 8-0.

Grace Wright joined the scoring in the 70th minute on the second assist from Ard as Amber Ellis made it a 10-0 lead in the 77th minute.

Abbey Schmidt and Caitlyn Cox combined for the shutout as Schmidt recorded two saves and Cox added one save.

Evangel peppered the Stephens goal with 50 total shots including 27 in the first half and 23 in the second half. The 50 shots broke the single-match record set on Friday night against Central Baptist when Evangel placed 43 shots. The Crusaders totaled 29 points, also setting a single-match record.

Evangel is quickly back in action Tuesday night at Williams Baptist in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. Action is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
