Women's Soccer Adds Wisconsin Midfielder for 2020

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Head Women's soccer coach Bruce Deaton announced the signing of Wisconsin midfielder/defender, Ava Cole, to his 2020 class.

Cole was a four-year varsity starter at Germantown High School in Germantown, Wisconsin.  In addition to her play at the high school, Cole plays club soccer for Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club.  During her time at Germantown, she performed on the field in both midfield and defender roles.

Ava has been on the honor roll all four years of High School.

"Ava is a technically sound player who will fit in well with our attacking style of play.  She reads and understands the game quite well as demonstrated by her ability to control play as a midfielder as well as a center back.  She has participated in soccer camps at Evangel during previous summers and has always displayed strong work rates, solid technical skills and sound understanding of the game.  I am looking forward to sharing this journey with her," says Deaton about his latest signing.

Ava intends to study communications at Evangel with plans to earn her doctorate in Law.
