SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Head Women's soccer coach Bruce Deaton announces the signing of St. Louis defender Macy Riek to his 2020 class.
Macy Riek is a four-year varsity defender at Oakville High School in St. Louis, Missouri. In addition to her play at the high school, Riek played club soccer for WC St. Louis as well as Lou Fusz soccer clubs. Macy has received the scholar-athlete award throughout her high school career.
"Macy is a solid defending player that understands the role and how to quickly transition from winning the ball to generating attack. That will help her fit in well with our attacking style of play. She has participated in soccer camps at Evangel previously and has always shown her tenacity in her defending, solid technical skills and a sound understanding of the game. I am looking forward to sharing this journey with her," says Deaton about his latest signing.
Macy intends to study elementary education at Evangel.
