Evangel Women's Soccer Adds Louisiana Standout Shelby Moore to 2020 Class

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Evangel women's soccer announces the addition of Louisiana standout Shelby Moore to their 2020 signing class.

Moore, a 5-6 midfielder from Monroe, La., prepped at Sterlington High School where she was a three-time first-team all-district and honorable mention All-Northeast Louisiana. Her high school team was three-time district champs while she was a member. She played her club soccer with NELSA and Brandon Futbol Club out of Brandon, Miss.

"Shelby is a solid player in the middle of the field," said head coach Bruce Deaton. "She understands how to control the flow of the game as a midfielder and shutdown opponents as a defender. Her versatility will help us continue to build upon our success from last season and maintain control of the field during match play. I'm looking forward to sharing this journey with Shelby."

Academically, she had a 3.7 GPA for all four years of high school and is the 2020 Student Council president.
